Victory Article ThmbOn Saturday, January 24th, Lifted Imports followed Victory Offroad Toyota truck number 1451 as they ran through the desert in the 2009 M.O.R.E. KarTek Duel in Barstow, California. Perry Hause and co-pilot Matt were scheduled to drive the first two laps of the four lap race in the 1450 class. After a great start, tragedy struck when about one quarter of the way into the second lap Hause and vehicle 123 collided causing them to crash. After flipping four times, spectators rushed to help upright the trucks.

Perry and co-pilot Matt made their way back to camp with Matt having suffered the most injuries. But the day wasn't over yet. Instead of putting the truck on a trailer they pounded out some of the damage and Tim Scott climbed into the drivers seat in an attempt to finish the race. Then trouble hit again when half way through the third lap the rear differential broke ending the day for Victory.

There is a lot of work ahead to bring this truck back up to speed but this team is nothing if not optimistic. Victory Offroad is already talking about what they are planning to do to get a truck back into the series. Check back as Lifted Imports follows its resurrection.
